Lazaroo – Thursday, April 26, 2012

Apr 26, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo, in humble determination:

“And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.”
(2 Kings 2:12)

This is how we feel when one of Your great leaders dies, Jesus.

You accomplished so much through them.
They were such an inspiration.

It was so comforting to know they were there to lean on!

No matter what crisis might be looming
we felt secure – they would handle it.

And suddenly…they’re gone.

It’s just us.
All alone.

Oh, they’re fine.

They’re in heaven with You
enjoying their reward.

But we’re left holding the bag.

When that next looming crisis arrives
there will be no one to turn to

but You.

You do this on purpose, don’t You?

You give me great leaders for a while
then take them away

so I have no choice but to rise to the occasion

and become Your next great leader.
