Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, confidence ablaze:

 “To you, O LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the open pastures…”
(Joel 1:19)

You’re the only one I can go to when that happens, Jesus.

I’ve got to have open pastures in my life –

no fences
nothing holding me back
room to run
clean air to breathe
unlimited horizons
places to explore
unknown things to discover
opportunities to seize.

This indoor air is killing me.
I’ve got to know I can get out

break free.

But when I fling open the door to make good my escape and discover that fire has devoured my open pastures?! –

that suddenly there’s nowhere to run
my options have been ripped out of my hands
I’m blocked at every turn
the people, places and things I used to run to and enjoy

gone
burned to a crisp –

“To You, O LORD, I call!”
Only You…

can recreate my open pastures.
