Lazaroo – Thursday, January 24, 2013

Jan 24, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with undiluted sincerity:

“What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching…”
(2 Timothy 1:13)

Wow, Jesus.

It’s one thing for a teacher to encourage people to pay careful attention.

It’s quite another for them to establish their teaching as

the pattern.”

A person who says something like that is one of three things:

a megalomaniac
a self-duped, too-full-of himself teacher
a prophet or apostle whom You Yourself have called.

The first two must be avoided at all costs.

The third must be heeded at all costs.

So how do I tell the difference?

Their every word must agree in every way with Your Word.
Their teaching must glorify You, not themselves.
Their daily walk must be in total harmony with Scripture.
The fruit of their teaching must be wholesome, pure and good.

In humility, they will warn their hearers to follow them

only as they follow You.
