Lazaroo – Thursday, July 26, 2012

Jul 26, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with Godly caution:

“If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house…”
(2 John 1:10)

Those are strong words, Jesus…

but maybe not as unreasonable as they first appear.

You call me to show hospitality

but that doesn’t mean to anybody and everybody.

I wouldn’t bring a poisonous snake into my home
and give it to my children to play with.

You’re asking me to hold to that same standard
when it comes to poisonous teaching.

As terrible as a fatal snake bite would be to one of my family members

that would be only natural, temporary death.

But false teaching about You

could lead to spiritual, eternal death.

I’m pretty cautious about who I allow to walk through my front door.

But maybe I’m not nearly as careful
about who I bring into my home on my

television
computer
phone.
