“…the day of the LORD is coming.”

You tell me that a lot, Jesus:

Your day is coming.

On the one hand, every day is Your day.

Today is the day You’ve made.
If I’m wise, I’ll rejoice and be glad in it.

But another day is coming…
a day different from all others:

a day when wrongs
will be made right

a day when good people who’ve suffered
will finally see justice

For some, it will be a day of terror

but for those who’ve faithfully endured
a day of vindication.
