I love this about You, Jesus!

You never ask more of me than I’m able to deliver.

Of course…

You do demand every bit of what I’m able to deliver!

But that’s good.

Even when I don’t feel like pushing it that far…

after I do and it’s over
I’m always glad I did.

I confess I’ve done it both ways, though. Too many times I’ve aimed too low, done just enough to get by.

It seldom works.
I’m never happy about it.
In fact afterwards, I’m ashamed.

I never grab somebody’s arm and say –

“Hey! Come see this half-hearted thing I just did!
What do you think?!”

But best of all…

it’s when I give You everything I’ve got to give
that You increase my capacity

to give even more.
