Lazaroo – Thursday, October 11, 2012

Oct 11, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, gratitude renewed:

“At this the men greatly feared the LORD, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows to him.”
(Jonah 1:16)

It’s easy for me to get a little sloppy, isn’t it, Jesus?

Life can begin feeling so…

ordinary

allowing me to become blasé about the daily display of Your majesty –

the sun, moon and galaxies in all their splendor
flowers, trees, cacti, the march of the seasons
cows, hawks, catfish, the duckbill platypus
the birth of a baby

the very air I breathe

taking it all for granted.

Not until You answer one of my prayers

work a miracle
do something unexpected –

(though upon reflection…
not nearly as stunning
as the wonders You perform every day!)

do my eyes pop open
once again aware.

Please accept the vow of my body, mind, heart and soul

my grateful sacrifice this day
holy and acceptable to You.
