On this Christmas day, pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo…in holy awe:

“And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘Out of Egypt I called my son.’”
(Matthew 2:15)

None of this should have been a surprise to students of Your Word, Jesus.

1,800 years before it happened Jacob predicted
You would come from the tribe of Judah

Nearly 800 years in advance the prophet Isaiah foretold
Your virgin birth.

At that same time the prophet Micah revealed
You would be born in Bethlehem.

750 years before Your birth the prophet Hosea explained
You would spend a portion of Your childhood in Egypt.

600 years before it happened, Jeremiah declared
You would be a descendant of David.

A few years later, Jeremiah warned us
of Herod’s slaughter of young children
while trying to kill You.

I missed Your first arrival, Jesus.

But according to Your prophets I will have a front row seat

for Your return.
