What are the delusions of my age, Jesus –

the obviously false beliefs that people stubbornly hold onto
in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary?

There’s the delusional belief in godless evolution –

that intelligence can come from non-intelligence
that life can come from lifelessness
that something can come from nothing.

There’s the delusional belief in abortion “rights” –

that it’s okay to kill a baby because it’s unborn

that a woman’s right to not be inconvenienced
supersedes a baby girl’s right to become a woman.

There’s the delusional desire for sex outside of marriage

even though it leads to heartache, betrayal and pain

even though it bonds you
to someone who refuses to promise you anything.

There’s the delusional belief in “I know what’s best for me” –

that my grossly limited knowledge of past/present/future
trumps God’s total grasp of all three.
