That’s where most of the world tosses the needy, Jesus:

on the ash heap.

And that’s where You are

to lift them up.

Did I say “them?”

Let me correct that:
To lift me up.

I, too, am needy.

Not so hungry as some
not without clothing or shelter

but I need You.

Every hour
I need You.

Without You, I can’t do this
