Ask God for courage, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“…to find out how wide and how long it is.”
(Zechariah 2:2)

So, Jesus…

if I want to find out how wide and how long something is
what do I have to do?

I have to measure.

So long as I merely guess

I can fool myself
react foolishly
make foolish plans.

Refusing to measure is a fool’s decision, isn’t it, Holy Spirit?

It’s an unwillingness to face facts.
Worse, it’s a refusal to know the truth.

Show me where I’m keeping myself intentionally ignorant, Father.

And give me the courage

to take a long, clear-eyed look.
