I’m just wondering, Jesus…

how many times do You have to repeat Yourself
before I remember?

I hear so much

but retain so little.

I try to listen, understand, absorb, grasp, apply

but there are so many distractions in my world
so many voices that vie for my attention.

Some of them shout at me.
Others tempt, threaten, beg.

No matter.

There’s only one I dare not ignore or forget:

Yours.
