Seek God’s perspective, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“Daniel went in to the king and asked for time…”
(Daniel 2:16)

I’ve asked for time, too, Jesus –
sometimes for the same reason as Daniel:

to beg You for a miracle.

But there are other reasons I might desire more time:

to pray
do more research
finish the job
seek the advice of someone more knowledgeable

in the absence of a better plan
to give You a chance to work it out.

There might be a few less legitimate reasons, too:

avoidance
procrastination.

When more time is required

please give me patience

but when it’s time to act:

courage.
