Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart of humble compassion:

“Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful…”
(Philemon 1:11)

I love it when that happens, Jesus!

Well…it doesn’t just “happen.”
You make it happen.

Here’s somebody who’s clearly a liability –

doesn’t have the necessary competence
refuses to demonstrate the right attitude
makes way too many unjustified mistakes
racks up failure after failure
has a terrible past
burns every bridge with friends and family

And then they turn to You.

Again.

And You take them in.

Again.

Of course, nobody believes in them.

At first.

They’ve been given too many “second chances”

and blown every one.

But for some inexplicable reason

(You)

this time…

it’s real.

They not only mean it
they stick with it –

start building success after success

week after week
month after month.

May I not be the last to see and celebrate their turnaround.

Help me be the first.
