Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in settled faith: 

“I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men…”
(Revelation 2:2)

That statement would be a shock to many people in my generation, Jesus.

Especially when they learn You’re the one who made it
and approve it.

I live in an age that celebrates tolerance.

No matter how bad the sin
I’m expected to tolerate it
not to judge it.

That’s not You, is it?

And if I’m to please my God
that can’t be me.

But while I’m refusing to tolerate wickedness in others

help me be certain
I don’t tolerate it in me.
