Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with depth of feeling:

“I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me…”
(Nehemiah 2:18)

I can identify, Jesus.

Your gracious hand has indeed been upon me.

Oh sure – I’ve had my share of troubles, heartache, disappointment.
There have been times when I’ve felt devastated

believing all was lost.

But it wasn’t…

because Your gracious hand was upon me.

Looking back, I can see how again and again and again…

You’ve gone before me
set the table

prepared the way
perfectly orchestrated the events of my life.

While I was going through it, it felt like utter chaos –
as though my life was a boulder crashing down the mountainside

out of control.

Looking back, I can now see what it really was:

a brilliant masterpiece.

Your brilliant masterpiece.

I sure would like to get to the place where by faith I can recognize that…

while I’m going through it.
