Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed determination: 

“So I made up my mind that I would not make another painful visit to you.”
(2 Corinthians 2:1)

This reminds me of some of my relationships, Jesus.

I gently try to help them see where they’re missing Your way

but they refuse to listen
or they agree but don’t try
or they try a little…and fail a lot.

I’m tempted to give up on them until I’m reminded:

You haven’t given up on me.

Paul stopped his painful visits

but since these people were too precious in Your sight to abandon
he started writing letters.
