Lazaroo – Wednesday, May 2, 2012

May 02, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with explosive feeling:

“These searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.”
(Ezra 2:62)

I can’t begin to imagine their desperation, LORD!

They had to show they were Your chosen people

but they couldn’t.

They thought they were Jews.
Other people had told them they were descendants of Abraham.

But they were unable to produce the written records.
They couldn’t prove it.

Can I?

It’s not good enough for me to merely think I belong to You.
It doesn’t matter how many people tell me I’m a Christian.

I have to have it in writing.

My name has to appear in the only written record that matters:

The Lamb’s Book of Life.

Which is why I boldly and unashamedly declare it out loud:

You are my LORD.

I believe it in my heart, Jesus:

God raised You from the dead.
