Lazaroo – Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Nov 14, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart for unity:

“My men will work with yours…”
(2 Chronicles 2:8)

That’s a truly amazing statement, Jesus.

It shouldn’t be, but it is.

The fact that this guy’s people are happily working with that guy’s people should be the norm.

But it isn’t.

“Cause this guy’s got one agenda and that guy’s got another agenda

and their people will fight to the death
for their own leader’s agenda.

Sometimes that’s good.

When one guy’s wrong and the other guy’s right
it’s absolutely essential.

But how often is that the case?

How much of the time is it not a matter of right and wrong…

but a matter of one-upmanship
jockeying for position
power struggle?

It’s bad enough when that nonsense happens in politics.

But when it happens in Your Church?

When one Bible-believing congregation won’t work with another?

Deliver me from that small-minded travesty, Father!

Deliver me.
