Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in deepest gratitude:

“Christ Jesus…has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
(2 Timothy 1:10)

Everybody wants this, Jesus:

eternal life
immortality

but it seems too good to be true!

Everywhere I look

plants die
animals die
organizations die
dreams die

people die.

Death seems the ultimate victor.

No matter what I do

where I go
who I know
what I accomplish
how much I accumulate

there’s a dark cloud hovering overhead:

“This won’t last
you’re wasting your time
it doesn’t matter
it all goes back in the box.”

Until I remember:  You blew that cloud away, Jesus!

You said You were going to beat death
allowed it to do its worst to You

then proved when You rose from the dead
three days later:

death can be defeated!

and that I
solely because of my faith in You –

will live forever.
