Lazaroo – Wednesday, October 17, 2012

Oct 17, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, seeing through God’s eyes:

“Proclaim further: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity…’”
(Zechariah 1:17)

You like prosperity, don’t You, Jesus?

You love to give it to us.

Oh, sure – there’s a “prosperity gospel” that doesn’t come from You –

get-rich-quick schemes
falsely promised by false prophets.

You passionately warn us about the love of money.

Once we set our minds to try to get rich

we fall into

harmful desires

That doesn’t mean You hate money.
It doesn’t mean You don’t want us to have any.

It’s just that money is a great servant
but a terrible god.

Besides, prosperity is more than money, isn’t it?

In fact, money can get in the way of prosperity.

The management requirements that go along with having money can rob me of

precious time.

I long to prosper, LORD!

Your way.
