Lazaroo – Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Oct 03, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with determined faith:

“Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says.’ And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious house—they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
(Ezekiel 2:4-5)

What a powerful message, Jesus.

When You say Your ways are not our ways

You’re not kidding.

We call ourselves practical.

We’re proud of the fact that we judge a thing by its results.

We decide whether or not to act
by whether or not we think we can succeed.

Not You.

You call Your followers to a higher standard.

The only basis for action

is whether it’s right or wrong.

If it’s right, You tell me to do it.
If it’s wrong, You tell me to refuse.

Hang the results.

That makes life so simple!

Not easy
just simple.

But not dumb, either.

Because I’m not after short-term results.
