Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in holy awe:

“…an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream…”
(Matthew 1:20)

This doesn’t happen to me a whole lot, Jesus.

I understand why Your Father sent an angel to Joseph.

After all, it would take an angel to convince a man that his pregnant bride-to-be was a virgin.

But You’ve also sent angels

to tell a runaway to go back home
to a family whose city was about to be destroyed
to a man looking for a wife
to a person who was disobeying You
to a man who was the least-respected person in his weak little family
to a sterile woman who wanted children

In fact, the Bible mentions angels hundreds of times – often sent to very ordinary people.

So…

if it ever fits in with Your plan…

and You know I could handle it…

I would love for You to send an angel

to me.
