Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with undiluted sincerity:

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst.”
(1Timothy 1:15)

This is a hard one to grasp, Jesus –

Maybe that whole thing Paul confessed in Romans 7

was much bigger than I realized.

The thing is, he says this is a trustworthy “saying” –

which means everybody should say it.

Including me.

Well…that’s not much of a stretch, is it?

I know some really rotten things about myself.

Except…objectively…

can I honestly call myself the world’s worst sinner?

worse than mass murderers?

rapists?
dictators?
terrorists?

my 7^th grade gym teacher? (just kidding)

Maybe what Paul is saying…
is that if it doesn’t feel to me like I’m the world’s worst sinner…

I don’t have a clue
about how deeply all that junk You’ve forgiven me for

really hurt You.
