Open your heart all the way to the LORD, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo: 

“…a day of trouble and ruin…”
(Zephaniah 1:15)

I hate those days, Jesus.

But I can’t avoid them.

You have granted me so many good days!

You’ve blessed me over and over and over again.
You’ve treated me infinitely better than I deserve.

But still…You allow the days of trouble and ruin to come –

oh, not on the scale of this day You are describing
through Your prophet Zephaniah –

but bad enough.

The question is: Why?

In light of Your love, the answer has to be:

for my good.

May I trust You…

even in this.
