Lazaroo – Monday, March 22, 2010

No comments, Mar 22, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in extravagant worship:

“This is what the LORD says: ‘For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath.’”
(Amos 1:9)

If you treated me like this, I wouldn’t stand a chance, Jesus.

My sins are in the millions.

Maybe worse.

Definitely worse.

If You kept a record of my sins – anybody’s sins –

who could stand?

But You don’t, do You?

Not for those of us who have put our trust in You

who have accepted what You did for us

when You gave Your innocent life on the cross.

There’s nothing fair about this.

Because of Your love for me, You suffered what You did not deserve

to spare me from the eternal penalty of what I most definitely do deserve.

Your salvation

is nothing less than a miscarriage of justice

a stunning triumph

of outrageous mercy!
